Devoll Field and Messinger Park
The playground program facilitates activities such as arts & crafts and sports & games
Open to Canton residents only; free to participants.
For weather related closings, check
Grades K to entering 2
nd grade must be accompanied by a
parent or guardian at all times.
Participants must register online one day in advance in order to participate in the program, on-site registration requires a guardian in person to complete the necessary paperwork.
: Online registration is available from 12pm to 8am each day, but will close each morning from 8am-12pm to ensure that Playground Staff has the most updated roster.
Free bus pick-up and drop-off available for Devoll

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for all children attending the program.
Register online or in person at the playground.
For children registered online, all completed paperwork (located in the link below) must be given to the Playground Director before children can sign-in to participate.
For on-site registration, parents must be present to complete two required forms. Children will not be able to participate until paperwork is complete.
Daily activities at each playground are FREE to Canton Residents.
Open to all children entering kindergarten up to those entering 8th Grade (Fall 2018).
K to entering 2nd grade must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
SAFETY AND FIRST AID
In case of emergencies,
registration is required for all children. Registration can be completed online or on-site.
Emergency contact information, allergy or other necessary health information, liability waiver, and Parent/Guardian Signature are required.
Playground Leaders will be equipped with a first aid kit for minor accidents. For all other accidents, the Canton Fire and Police Departments will be contacted to respond.
No Playground Leader or other Department staff will administer aspirin or medication of any kind.
OTHER UNSTAFFED PLAYGROUNDS
In addition to our staffed playgrounds, the following five playgrounds are maintained by Canton Parks and Recreation, but are not staffed during the summer months: Ponkapoag Playground, Memorial Playground, Tilden Playground, Armando Center Playground and Pequitside Playground.
