Operating Dates: June 26-August 20, 2016  |  Operating Hours: 1-6PM

On-the-spot kayak rentals are available on a first-come, first-served, basis.

Rental for use at Bolivar Pond. Youth and adults ages 13 and older can paddle their own kayak.  A personal floatation device (PFD) to fit ages 13 to adult will be provided and must be worn at all times.  Last rental at 5PM.

Fee: $15/per hour | Dry Bags: $2/per rental

There is a one-hour minimum charge, and then we charge by the tenth of an hour based on the amount of time you are on the water. For example, if you stay out for an hour and 20 minutes, for instance, you'll pay 1.3 times the hourly rate.

Inclement Weather

The Town of Canton, Department of Parks and Recreation is authorized to close the Aquatics Center on a temporary basis, when it determines that inclement weather threatens the health or safety of its patrons.

The Department uses National Weather Service (NWS) radios that transmit live weather alerts to determine a closure.

When a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, Tornado Watch, or Tornado Warning is issued, the Center will close until the watch or warning has expired as determined by the NWS.

Check the weather forecast just before setting out, and keep an alert weather eye.  Anticipate changes and bring all kayaks ashore signaled by the Department.

Life Jackets

Properly fitted U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jackets are provided with each rental and must be worn at all times by all persons engaged in boating.

Dry Bags

We do not have lockers at our rental location and cannot hold any personal items. You are welcome to rent a dry bag for $2 and take your items with you on the kayak.
